Artistic Research
Research is an integral component of the culture at APhRC, conducted and shared within the framework of artistic practice-based research—understood and experienced as a creative process that engages with, reflects on, and explores the evolving challenges in visual art and photography.
This approach generates new understandings, and knowledge within the field, prioritizing the artistic process, collaboration, and critical reflection.
We use these insights in practice-oriented projects that take various forms, including exhibitions, publications, performances, lectures and presentations. Topics range from very specific questions to broader visual research practices.
